FX on Avid filler should conform in DVR as Adjustment clip
I'm really grateful for the recent QoL improvements in conforming timelines from Avid Media Composer via AAF. Especially the timeline markers coming through. Really fantastic, time-saving stuff thank you!
One remaining bugbear I have is that Media Composer editors love putting effects on "filler" above their clips. It's their way of doing what Adjustment Clips do in Resolve.

In the above screenshot, a creeping zoom is applied over three clips.
Currently, when conforming an AAF from Media Composer where an editor has done this, the clip simply does not appear in Resolve at all, which I guess makes sense -- it's essentially an effect on nothing.
Currently, I work around it by going back to Media Composer, cutting a dummy clip above the filler, copy the effect from the filler to the dummy clip, that then translates the parameters to Resolve correctly via AAF, where I manually lay down an Adjustment Clip underneath the dummy clip, copy and paste clip attributes from dummy clip to Adjustment Clip, delete dummy clip.
However, it would be so damn helpful if, in these instances, Resolve just knew to replace these Avid "filler" effects with an Adjustment Clip.
Cheers!
