Set Outpoint At Playhead

PostSat Nov 18, 2023 6:32 pm

I would like the option to change the behavior of outpoints to set the outpoint at the playhead. Currently if you press "O" or "Out" on the speed editor the outpoint is set to 1 frame after the playhead.

I think especially since the playhead snaps to the end of the timeline it would be nice to be able to set the outpoint there without scrubbing back by 1 frame. It could be an option in General Options so that people that are used to the 1 frame after the playhead can still use that.

Your observation is in error. The Out point is always set at the playhead position.

But...the playhead looks 'forward'. So if the playhead is between clips, you're looking at the first frame of the next clip.

That's just how playheads work. Get used to it. ;)
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Avid implemented this many years ago!

The Resolve Playhead Shadow option will allow you to snap to the last frame of a clip too!
