Provide a reset and backup to all functions
Hello BMD
Whenever I report an issue to this forum or to support, very often I am asked to do a full reinstall of Resolve which includes manually deleting some folders etc.
I do a manual backup of everything - including templates which are not saved in the database AFAIK - but when I reinstall I have to copy those templates back etc. There are many things which are still difficult to backup.
Can you possibly implement a
- "Perform a clean install" option, so the installer is taking care of removing everything when installing - or provide a stand alone tool to do that
- Provide a "full backup" tool to backup everything: database, preferences etc. So that we can get Resolve back as it was.
Yes, I appreciate that some of those preferences might be what was breaking Resolve before but it'd be nice to have the option to restore them, in case the issue is still there after reinstalling.
Reinstalling everything is time consuming. If you could make it faster, I'm sure it could be appreciated by many.
Thanks.
