Stock Asset Import Plugin

PostMon Nov 20, 2023 5:05 pm

For whatever reason, Storyblocks, Envato Elements, etc have direct import plugins for Adobe, but NOT for DR.

The ability to search for, select and download stock footage, graphics, audios directly is a time saver. I would pay double what I paid for DR Studio to be able to do that.

Is there anything to good folks at BMD do to help this along?

I cringe every time I see my friend in this adobe setup just pull graphics and footage in a heartbeat while I have to click, click, click etc download, move..click import..Jeez.....

I've reached out to both Envato and Storyblocks...but no love. Storyblocks publishes it's API and maybe envato would to so maybe either a BMD or 3rd part plugin?

Fingers crossed the DR get's jiggy with it.....

Premiere Pro doesn't use a Database for project storage like Resolve.

I wonder if that's relevant.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I was thinking this is more of api to access into whatever service and display it in DR.

However, since you mention that, it could be the DR database adds a layer of complexity when actually download the asset and is why both Envato and Storyblocks are taking their time....
