Thumbnail-Still exported by DVR too big for YouTube
Posted: Wed Apr 24, 2024 1:07 amWhen exporting a still, the file size is too large for a YouTube thumbnail.
Currently, for a 4K timeline, the still file size exported by DVR is 24.9 MB for a .png file.
Whereas YouTube rejects file sizes for Thumbnails that are larger than 2 MB.
There are two ways in Davinci Resolve to export stills - either in the Edit tab, File/Export/Export Current Fame as Still. Or in the Color tab, by right-clicking the image and select 'Grab Still'. Both these methods produce a file size of 24.9 MB.
Suggestion: it would be good if Davinci gave the option to select the file size of the exported still.
