Super technical and exact speed control on video...

PostFri May 24, 2024 11:21 pm

I find myself recreating speed ramps in the projects I work on daily. From Avid, Premier, whatever. I'm consistently frustrated with the lack of fine speed control that is crucial when matching a speed effect from another software. It would be awesome if DaVinci could add a direct source timecode input for a specific frame in a speed effect. Also, making the GUI tools used to adjust in the timeline be able to work more precisely like a nudge function for source frame or a keyboard modifier to slow down the incremental adjustments. Seems like the speed tools that currently exist are awesome for creativity, but for the technical and specific end of things, I'd love to have a speed tool that worked in a more concrete way. This source code exactly to this frame.

I hope I have missed this and it already exists but if not I'd love to see it in a future release.

Thank you,
