Given questions and discussion and suggestion here, for which I am thankful, I think it is a good idea to explain what my workflow is, and what I am missing. I have communicated this directly with BM support. A preset for Blu-Ray seems the easy solution here.
I use DR to create my videos, each which a specific subject and each the eventually need to be started separately and directly once they sit in the menu of a blu-ray disk.
Some videos have subtitles which may appear separately (switched on or off when playing) or burned in.
With the set of videos I use TMPGenc Authoring works 7 to create the disk. In the past, I used DVD architect, which gave me more flexibility which was very unstable. The TMPGenc software accepts both MPG and MP4 files for various Blu-ray formats. It works fine, and if the input files are incompatible then TMPGenc automatically converts them before creating a disk. Although the software has the beautiful feature of mimicking a created disk, I still need to process to test a physical disk. But the conversion process can take a lot of time. There are only a few specs that are not Blu-Ray disk compatible, but so far I have not found any of the required settings in the DR delivery. See the overview attached. The simple solution may be to have a preset for Blu-Ray build in. ( like is the case in première pro). The actual building of the disk with compatible input files takes seconds.
After the conversion it is not difficult anymore to burn a disk. Because I need to create disk menus, it does not work to either burn a disk from DR directly, nor would it help to have software to turn the video files into a disk.
The alternative for a preset is that someone points me to the right settings to get a video file that is compatible with Blu-ray.
