Media Management when dealing with stills

PostWed Jun 04, 2025 10:14 am

I use Media Management to transcode for archiving entire projects but there is one annoying thing that it does.

When ever it finds a folder with stills JPEG/PNG or w/e it creates new folders for each individual element instead of just copying them into the same folder as the original project.

There's also no option to what to do in case that you resume a previous attempt, I have sometimes 1 month of dailies to transcode and sometimes i have to stop the transcode, to just ignore the files already present there and to move on or rewrite them.

Are you using the "Preserve Hierarchy" option? I would hope that would keep the source folder setup identical.

Yes, i'm using that Hierarchy option and the stills get placed into individual folders like that, when the original project does not have such folders.
