RMB > copy path & filename to clipboard

PostWed Aug 21, 2019 12:27 am

Self explanatory, I right click in a bin or media storage window on a file, and it copies the file's path & name to os clipboard, so I can message or email it to whomever needs it.

I know this is trivial, but it would save me quite a bit of time reporting completed renders to editors.

In Resolve, you can already right-click the media store, media pool, render jobs and other relevant contexts to reveal the underlying file/path in your file browser. Copying the path from there should be easy - ⌥-right-click to copy as pathname in OS X, copying from the address bar.

Is there a reason this implementation is insufficient?

Sorry, I'll come up with a question.
I understood the answer and with it the possibilities. A shared job from Resolve with Windows. But where can I find these render jobs if I want to email them?
Thank you.

I also think the ability to copy paths in the media library would be incredibly useful when using the mapped path feature as it would allow you to copy the path into the mapped path without having to resort to exporting the media list metadata and extract the path from the CSV file.
