Add and remove to a Qualifier by using SHF and OPT/ALT

When qualifying, I'd like to be able to use SHF to ADD to the qualifier and OPT/ALT to remove from the qualifier, just like when you select in, let's say, Photoshop.

I'm using a keyboard a lot and always feel I loose quite a bit of speed when I need to move the picker from the image to the little icons that let me add/remove from current selection.

Granted, I often just click once and tweak the settings directly, but every now and then I scratch my head as to why this feature isn't already in there.
