'Create timeline with clip name' request.

In the dropdown for creating timelines it would be lovely to have 'Create timeline with same name as clip'. If that's possible. Unless i'm experiencing a malfunction and it's already there somewhere. Which can happen. A lot.

Definite +1 to this! It's super frustrating to have to manually rename the timeline, when you're creating it from a single clip. I do a lot of color-correction on VFX plates that have very specific naming schemes, and the only thing I want to do to the timeline name is call it "ORIGINALFILENAME.graded".

I do a lot of quick trailer editing for a TV Station. Every Timeline is presenting a individual show. It would be nice to select the 3-6 Shows that where send to me each day and just create 3-6 Timelines with one Click.

Well it might be overkill for a lot of people who only need a single timeline, but it comes aswell from my experience in Motion Graphics and VFX.
There I am using often After Effects to edit a lot of Clips on an individually base and I want to keep the naming consistent for my clients and stay organized. In AE you can create a Composition(= Timeline) not only based on a Clips name, but you can "Create multiple compositions from multiple footage items" in one mouseclick and everything will keep the correct name. I find this a great timesaver and a good way to organise since I can sort those Compositions in Folders like "to do", "work in progress" and "finished".

Thanks to the addition of the "Fusion Page" I can slowly retire After Effects and recreate that worklow in Resolve.

Any updates on this? I would love this as well, I shoot and edit stock and whenever I need to alter a clip I have to search through a ton of stuff to find the timeline that has the clip I'm looking for3
