Resolve crashes whenever I try to change "Decode Using"

Somehow (and I'm pretty sure I didn't do this) a bunch of my clips got changed to
Decode Using = Camera Metadata, Decode Quality = Half res.good


Most of the clips were previously set to
Decode Using = Project, Decode Quality = Use Project Setting


As you can see, before all the clips in question got changed, they were much lighter (maybe this is the result of the ISO somehow changing as well, from 800 to 320?)

In any case, for the "dark" (messed up) clip in question, when I try to set Decode Using back to Project or Clip, Resolve immediately crashes, every time.

tailing "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/logs/davinci_resolve.log" shows no useful information about the crash.

(1) Any advice on how to debug further or work around this bug?

(2) In the event I cannot get this working, I am wondering if there is a way to export a project from 18 and work with it in 17? I tried installing Resolve 17 on this machine, and I got a warning that the database is not backwards compatible -- is there a workflow for downgrading from 18 to 17 and continuing to work on a project that was upgraded to 18?

I'm able to change some of these settings in the Color Page under Camera Raw, but I don't think Decode Using Camera Metadata is working correctly.

Here is for example a still in RED Player, which says:
Color Space: REDcolor4
Gamma Space: REDGamma4
ISO: 800
Kelvin: 4700


When I duplicate these values in Resolve, I get something that looks close to what I see in RED Player:


However, when I decode using Camera Metadata (I would expect this to look exactly like what I see in RED Player), but it is very very different than when I try to match the settings:



(3) Should Decode Using Camera Metadata match what I see in the RED Player?

(4) Per my original question, this was the case when I originally imported everything, and then somehow like a day ago, almost all of the clips I'm using in my project somehow got corrupted and are no longer being decoded in a way that matches.

Is there an easy way to reset all the Camera RAW settings that might have been corrupted in my Resolve project? If I get them looking like they did upon import, I'll be happy.
