I installed Resolve 17 roughly a week ago and was loving it! Last night I upgraded to the newest version, and I have several issues that prevent me from editing my video.
Specs:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
32 GB RAM
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X (12 Cores) CPU
AMD Radeon Pro W5500 GPU (8 GB GDDR6 RAM)
Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB (3GB/s SSD)
Issues (none of which occurred before the upgrade):
1. When I open my project (1080p HD, roughly 15 min long edited), the timeline takes a long time to load. Then, a few seconds after it loads, my CPU runs up to 80-ish% and stays there for some time. I noticed, mainly because my PC is ultra-quiet, and my fans all kicked into high gear while this is happening, something which rarely happens.
2. The much bigger issue is that any time I navigate to Fusion, Resolve crashes! I have a callout that I need to remove and simply can't.
Are others reporting any issues?
Can I downgrade to the previous version, which worked great?
