Loudness History Momentary is disjoint

PostSun Jan 24, 2021 12:51 am

The Loudness History Momentary graph just shows up in dribs and drabs in 17b7 (and all previous betas, as far as I remember.) It's so broken into tiny pieces that it's not actually useful.

Which options are selected for the Loudness Track?

Are you only displaying Momentary data or is Integrated and Short Term data displayed?

Note that depending on the location of the Playhead when the transport is engaged new data will be recorded from that point which may lead to chunks of data being displayed in the History Graph.

I'm trying to display all three. But Momentary shows up as brief strokes every few seconds. Totally useless. The other two (Short Term and Integrated) show up as continuous graphs as expected.

I've taken a screenshot, below, after playing continuously through a section. It's a little hard to see, but the yellow arrows point to the first few segments of Momentary. (Note that there are a few more at the end.)

Confirmed that version 16.2.7 has the same behaviour in representing Momentary Loudness data in the Loudness Track.
