CST Bug while Saturation Compression is on

PostTue Apr 23, 2024 4:37 am

Like the title says i observed that when i edit and i have a CST node, the video saturation will drop during playback when i have Saturation Compression on in the Gamut Mapping.

Selecting None removes the issue.

It does not effect the rendered file, it will show up the correct way regardless of the setting.

Yep - reported elsewhere as well. I'm seeing this symptom in a variety of situations that weren't evident prior to 19b1 but I do think that they are related to the CST setting.

If you go to 'Preferences > User > Playback Settings > Performance Mode' and disable performance mode, this issue will not be present. This is not a solution, of course - there is definitely a bug in 19b1.

Note that you may also be able to set Performance Mode to Manual and disable the 'Optimize image processing' option - that may also work. Worth a try and report back if you have time.

Cheers
