19b excessive processor use when idle.

PostFri Apr 26, 2024 9:29 pm

All of my render caches have been completed. I am just idle and DR is doing something I don't know for what.

Same behaviour after restarting Resolve?

If this is an ongoing issue, consider including a link to diagnostic logs.

Instructions to generate logs are in the FAQ at the top of the forum: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=90190#16

When I restart it calms down, but it ramps up after a few minutes. Here's a link to the logs. drive.google.com/file/d/1JzGDwi2UzAspYyMkW1-iZ1wQn5yXB0Na/view?usp=sharing

In most of your logs is a recurring message:

[0] setting bright to 30

I've never seen that message in a log before, so not sure what it's related to. But there are lots of them in the logs, and whatever it is may account for the processor activity you see.

Does that message make any sense to you based on what you are doing in the project?

Please make a project export drp of the NLS_202 project. Please post a link to the NLS_202 project export .drp

Make the drp by opening the Resolve Project Manager page, right clicking on the NLS_202 project and selecting Export Project.

Hi Dwaine,
Thanks for your help. I do not know what "[0] setting bright to 30" means. Here's a link to my drp file.

You have Neat Video, Topaz Video Enhance and Genarts Sapphire FLickerRemoveMatte OFX plugins in use throughout the project.

I don't have any of those at hand to attempt to repro the weird log entries, but I'd guess one of those plugins is responsible for those. And any one or more of those probably explains the excessive processor use.

Topaz Video AI as a plug-in is still very much beta, IMHO.
I’d remove that first. Use the standalone instead.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
