19b3 bug: grade in multicam is kept on bin/clip (globally)

PostFri May 24, 2024 11:13 am

fairly easy to reproduce:
- create a multicam clip from a simple clip,
- drag that multicam into a new timeline
- then change the color in multicam->open in timeline->color
- drag that same original clip from media bin to a new timeline
- it is not using a clean resetted clip data, but the color that was graded within the multicam

regards,
Mike

Is this a new behaviour for b3?

Do you mean that you are dragging the same Multicam clip into a timeline? I would expect color done within the Multicam clip (open in timeline) would follow the Multicam to each timeline it is used in. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you are saying?

first of all, thanks for moving into DR19publicBeta sub-Forum...

just tried it with 19beta2... here it works perfectly... so the bug is real and new.

and @Steve Alexander: you misundertand...
just make a multicam clip, open as a timeline, colorgrade the embedded clip.
then take the original clip and drag into a normal timeline, it will have "inherited" the color that should only be visible within the multicam... and yes, it's broken since 19b3, was working with 19b2

Ah - that sounds unexpected.

I'm not seeing the problem on my MacBook. Let's see if someone else can reproduce?
