Matching dialogue separator and voice isolation "background"

PostFri May 24, 2024 3:13 pm

Small audio challenge introduced by the new Voice separator:

If I'm recording audio in an environment where I want to retain some of the surrounding audio but then want to "block out" some part of the speech/dialogue, then it is quite hard to match the background sound level of the two differently processed clips. It would be cool if I could do something like "set the background sound level to this other clip but remove speech".

Also noted that in a noisy environment, there is still quite significant residual voice "traces" even with aialogue separator "Voice" dial turned all the way down.
