Bug - ctrl+y (selecting all clip forwards) + Flip H/V

PostThu May 25, 2023 7:28 pm

When selecting everything after the playhead with keyboard shortcut (ctrl+y), then do a vertical (or horizontal) flip, it only changes the first clip of the selection.

By selecting all the clips with a mouse selection, then the vertical flip is applied to every clips selected

Interesting and surprising. Nice catch, Maxwell. Cheers.

I can't duplicate this. It works as expected.

Well, I can reproduce it ;)
It doesn't work as expected.

If one of the clip is already flipped, and then all of them are selected with the keyboard shortcut, it changes only the first one of the selection.

I even could get just the last one flipped...

But selection with the mouse cause no problem

Just tested, and for me it is working as it should. I tried with video and audio linked and unlinked, and with Selection Follows Playhead on and off. This was only with a short selection of clips and a longer timeline might be a different story.

Ctrl+Y is select all clips on a track backwards not forwards which is just Y. ;)

I'm not seeing that either. If the first clip is already flipped, it remains unchanged. All of the following clips will flip, though.

I also can't reproduce the issue. Any selection method works for all selected clips when flipping the clips.

I'll do a screen recording when I can.
It's a bit difficult to explain the steps by text

I should have screen-recorded it when I tested it multiple times, with different clips and new timelines.
I can't reproduce it now that I have more time to investigate

It's weird to say but I hope I'll get the problem again, since I have a specific workflow for particular projects, I generally do the exact same steps each time. I'll try too keep them in mind for the next time.
