Unused instances of Magic Mask tracking unecessarily

PostThu Jun 08, 2023 6:35 pm

Not sure if this behavior predates the 18.5, but using Beta 3 I can report the following issue:

Working on a long timeline containing 20 minutes of footage with Magic Mask adjustments, I rendered everything to DNxHR, placed that on top and deleted the (200+ GBs of) render cache. I kept the Magic Masked material in a track underneath just in case I might need to go back to that. The issue: when exporting the finished video all of the Magic Masks are tracked again, taking needless time and refilling the render cache. I tried disabling the relevant track as well as all of the clips in it, which had no effect. The only way around this was to delete the clips (after making a copy of the timeline).

Yes - this was reported elsewhere. Disabled clips should not have their magic mask tracking invoked during delivery. Seems like a bug.
