Sadly, that thread has devolved into a bunch of rants about what the 'users' are doing wrong, but in short - Resolve is not just not interpreting certain unicode characters that both the underlying OS (Lin/Win/Mac) all support, but that competitors (FC and Premier) handle gracefully, it's literally just dropping those files from processing without an error or complaint. The 'bug' is that Resolve should either process the filenames as presented, or provide the user an indication as to why it's not going to (with a clear documentation note as to what is, or isn't, allowed despite the support of the underlying OS and filesystem.
