Hello Blackmagic Community and Esteemed Moderators,
I’m writing as a dedicated Icelandic user (yes, the land of volcanoes and glaciers) who’s been eagerly awaiting the chance to subscribe to Blackmagic Cloud. While your service is advertised as “worldwide” and is even opening its doors to Ukraine and other non-EU/GB regions, my subscription journey has hit a frosty snag: the payment form stubbornly insists on an EU or GB VAT Tax ID. It’s as if my country has been left out in the digital cold—despite the warm support we’ve shown for BM products over the years.
Iceland may be small, but our passion for Blackmagic Design is mighty. We’re more than willing to join the global cloud party and contribute to an even richer, more diverse community. After all, if your hardware can handle 12K RAW and live multi-user collaborations, surely the billing system can make room for a little extra latitude (and a pinch of Icelandic VAT magic).
I respectfully ask that BM and our forum moderators consider extending subscription eligibility to include Iceland. By doing so, you’d not only be living up to your “worldwide” promise, but you’d also win over a dedicated, enthusiastic user base that’s been patiently (if a bit impatiently) waiting in the wings.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea. Let’s turn this icy oversight into a warm, inclusive upgrade—because here in Iceland, even our glaciers melt when we’re excited!
