Blackmagic Server vs Dedicated Server

Hello I'm looking to find out the benefits of purchasing the monthly Dedicated Server Libraries vs the regular cloud servers. Currently we have a team that shoots footage during the day and uploads in the evening for our editors to take over and turn around by morning. Since we can only upload one project at a time until the sync is complete this sometimes takes 10-30 minutes per project.

Only difference I can see right now is it allows you to go from 10 users up to 20. I was hoping there would be a noticeable speed increase for uploading and downloading footage to cloud projects in peak times. Since currently there is times when it crawls and the cloud upload seems to be the bottleneck.

I can't speak to speed increases for loading footage.

However, we did see a significant improvement in responsiveness when moving to dedicated servers for the project library editing performance—less lag, especially at peak times.

A dedicated server is mainly a guaranteed performance thing, you are in control of how many users are using it, and what load is on the server. There are different options for the size of your organisation and number of concurrent users, and you can choose based on your needs.
