Cloud Project Fails to Export.drp/.drt & unable to restore-

PostMon Jun 23, 2025 4:57 am

I’m using the latest version of DaVinci Resolve Studio 20.0 Build 49, with an active Cloud Project subscription, and I’ve encountered a critical issue with one of my cloud-based projects titled: “BTS - Aku Sebelum Aku”

Issue Summary:
The cloud based project contains multiple timelines, but the most important one — “D3_Recap - Bing Bang” — appears to be corrupted or broken. The issue prevents me from:

Exporting the project as a .drp file (export fails)

Exporting the timeline as a .drt (also fails)

Right-clicking the timeline to access “Restore Timeline Backup” (it attempts to load and freezes Resolve at 78%)

What I’ve Tried:
Opened the project from three different machines (macOS, Windows) — same issue.

Logged in with a different Blackmagic Cloud user account (with access to the project) — same issue.

Tried Read-Only mode — timeline still tries to load on right click, freezing the app.

Tried exporting the whole project .drp — fails due to the timeline issue.

Logged out and back into my Blackmagic Cloud account — no change.

All other timelines in the project are accessible and have the “Restore Timeline Backup” option working fine. Only this one timeline freezes the software on right-click.

What I Need:
Immediate assistance to restore a previous working version of the timeline:
“D3_Recap - Bing Bang”

Assistance in exporting a .drp of the full project so I can continue working locally.

This is a time-sensitive Netflix BTS project, covering 38 days of production, and due to this issue i'm stuck and late for delivery. Any support or workaround to recover this timeline and project export would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.
