ATEM Television Studio HD and MacOS Sonoma

PostSun Oct 15, 2023 3:57 am

Hi there! Recently we've updated to MacOS Sonoma from MacOS Big Sur. It was a jump because we needed new features. However, for some reason. When plugging in directly from the iMac through a USB-C HDMI output, we're unable to get 1080p60, only allowing us to select 30 hertz, therefore seeing nothing on our switcher. We can confirm this only works when plugging HDMI output directly to the HDMI switcher. We've tried cables, and also on monitors, and all are able to display 1080p60.

Right now the workaround is using an UpDownCross as an intermediary, which seems to solve the problem and MacOS allows us to select 60 hertz. Is there a firmware update, or something we're doing wrong?

Having this same issue.

Using an ATEM Television Studio HD that's on the 8.1.1 Software. I am also running Mac OS 14.0 on a 2019 MacBook Pro.

I have 2 Panasonic HC-X1000 we have connected to the Blackmagic ATEM. The resolution setting is at 1080P 59.94 and the video out is working fine.

We just added an iMac Studio, Model MQH73LL/A. The video output seems to be at 1080P 50. I can't get the iMac to show up on the ATEM at the same time as the cameras.

How do I get both cameras and iMac to show up in the switcher at the same time and same setting/ What setting can I change on the iMac or camera to get them on the same scan settings? Do we need to add a scan converter? What kind of scan converter do we use?

I'll put my hand up here with the same issue.

I've installed Sonoma on a few of our 2018/2019 Intel Macs this morning and found that I also can't get above 1080p@30 into a TVS. I have also tried the HDMI input on our 1ME and 2ME 4K mixers with the same result. However I can get success with pretty much everything else we have - going through BMD micro convertors, converters of other brands, other branded video systems, scalers, the TV monitor on my desk - it's the onboard HDMI input on BMD production mixers that seems to be most problematic.

Our TVS's are the type of thing our people use in situations to be free of convertors so it'll great if we can find a solution.

Cheers

Seamus.
