Hi Guys,
TOTAL NEWBIE to this stuff, so pardon my ignorance!
I am in a band, and we are playing at a really nice venue, where they have a multi-camera system that projects the video on screens for the audience to enjoy. I spoke to the A/V guy, asking if I might be able to obtain the video for future use (promos, etc). They said they've not set up any means to record the video, as it was not the primary function for the shows, but that I was welcome to provide a recorder with SDI input, and they would connect it for me to grab the video. Show is about 90 min.
SO, I just purchased a HyperDeck Studio HD Mini to take to the show (tomorrow March 8).
I didn't see anything in the Owners Manual PDF that specified the type of SD card to get, as well as what size would be recommended. That is my primary ask in this thread (sorry it took so long to get to the ask!).
I DO have a 1TB Cruicial SSD that I plugged into the unit, which already has about 300GB of stuff on it. The drive showed up, which tells me it could work, but I wanted some expert thoughts on that.
At this point, I'm just seeking to secure video, then I will figure out what the hell to do with it! ha!
Thanks in advance, for your thoughts on this, as well as any other "gotchas" I need to consider!
