We have been using an Atem Mini Extreme now for 2 plus years and it has been rock solid streaming to Restream. We are currently using cable access (Spectrum) in the Raleigh NC area which does result from time to time in slowdown to sometimes dropping after we get notifications on the Atem, On Air flashing and progressing up to buffer full. In July we will be switching to fiber!!
About 3 weeks ago, we suddenly got the message on Atem Control "No switcher attached." Never seen that in all the years. We verified the ip address and tried several times entering it manually with no success. We finally powered off the Mac running ATEM control and the ATEM console and back up and all worked fine. Our internal LAN reported no issues during this period.
A week or so later, we noticed during a live stream of one of our 3 services, that all of a sudden Program showed the audio output dropped to zero while we still showed audio coming in. We bring a feed from our audio console into the input that we use for the green screen which has worked great all this time. Restarted things and all got back to normal.
Last evening during a live stream of our Good Friday service, the console started showing issues with bandwidth progressing up to Buffer Full. Bandwidth issues were also reported by Restream and we basically near zero. We tried several times to stop the stream on the ATEM console and restart but sill had Buffer Full.
Just to see, went to the Atem Software control Switcher window and stopped the stream (it turned off the indicator on the Atem console) and then hit on air and off it went and the ATEM console showed running. Evidentially that action cleared the message and we were ok for the rest of the service.
Seems like there is some sort of "communications/handshaking not working or??
Any ideas would be great as we have 4 Easter Sunday services tomorrow. I plan on shutting down and restarting both the console as well as the Mac running software control first thing in the morning.
Thanks Ed
