Lower Thirds with ATEM

How do you guys run animated lower thirds with your ATEM's? I've got an ATEM 2M/E Production Studio 4K and I'd like to run several lower third graphics in our live streams. The ATEM software only allows a limited number of media files and PNG sequence files so the ideal route is not possible. I could use a video signal from our Hyperdeck and combine it with a key, but I still wouldn't get any control to run it as a macro or anything. Is there a simpler way to do this? Or what is the best way? Thanks!

Hyperdeck mini have FILL and KEY output .. U can run it from macro .. But I preffer more functions .. We Use free Caspar CG sofware for windows and Decklink card ..

Is the issue with the key and fill signal being one frame off in the latest Hyperdecks already fixed?

I haven't tried it, but I've heard of using PowerPoints with a green background (easy to key out).

The same idea might apply to other software as well - like Keynote, Resolume, Playback Pro, etc.

A StreamDeck might even be able to trigger the whole sequence.

We use OBS with a Decklink-Card and Key and Fill. It works fine for us.

You have to watch what Hyperdeck mini. The latest Version miss the Key Out.
You have to buy that one with PoE Ethernet or the newer HD Plus Version.

Mike : yes you are right .. But i was wroted , that I preffer any computer based playout with generating of graphics .. I love Caspar CG for its compexity and lot of possibilities ..

We need to leverage ease of use/familiarity, so we use MS Powerpoint. All slides have a black background, and the directors simply advance the slides to get where they need to. Each of the animations can be customized. Disadvantage of the approach we are using is that we cannot have very much black in our graphics.

I should add that the laptop with Powerpoint is used exclusively in the system for the slides. It is connected to the Production Studio through HDMI and is essentially one of the camera sources, and we use it for fill. The ATEM Control software, streaming, audio controls, etc. reside on a separate computer. OP, you are fortunate and you'll be able to use non-black keys. We don't have an M/E Production Studio.

We use Titler live with an ultra studio to get key and fill. The great this about this set up is that you can import an Excel file with the titles to save time
