I've done some more research into this. The input and output numbering seems a bit strange in decimal numbering but when you convert it to hexadecimal it makes more sense.
Output nummering- Code: Select all
AUX 01 = 07D1 xxxx
AUX 02 = 07D2 xxxx
AUX 03 = 07D3 xxxx
AUX 04 = 07D4 xxxx
AUX 05 = 07D5 xxxx
AUX 06 = 07D6 xxxx
AUX 07 = 07D7 xxxx
AUX 08 = 07D8 xxxx
AUX 09 = 07D9 xxxx
AUX 10 = 07DA xxxx
AUX 11 = 07DB xxxx
AUX 12 = 07DC xxxx
AUX 13 = 07DD xxxx
AUX 14 = 07DE xxxx
AUX 15 = 07EF xxxx
AUX 16 = 07E0 xxxx
AUX 17 = 07E1 xxxx
AUX 18 = 07E2 xxxx
AUX 19 = 07E3 xxxx
AUX 20 = 07E4 xxxx
AUX 21 = 07E5 xxxx
AUX 22 = 07E6 xxxx
AUX 23 = 07E7 xxxx
AUX 24 = 07E8 xxxx
The AUX outputs support 16 audio channels which are mapped as 8 dual channels. By replacing
xxxx in the above list you address the specific audio channels of an AUX output:
- Code: Select all
0000 = Audio Channels 01/02
0001 = Audio Channels 03/04
0002 = Audio Channels 05/06
0003 = Audio Channels 07/08
0004 = Audio Channels 09/10
0005 = Audio Channels 11/12
0006 = Audio Channels 13/14
0007 = Audio Channels 15/16
The MADI output supports 64 channels which are mapped as 32 dual channels. The numbering of the channels is as follow:
- Code: Select all
MADI Output 01/02 = 03E9 0000
MADI Output 03/04 = 03EA 0000
MADI Output 05/06 = 03EB 0000
MADI Output 07/08 = 03EC 0000
MADI Output 09/10 = 03ED 0000
MADI Output 11/12 = 03EE 0000
MADI Output 13/14 = 03EF 0000
MADI Output 15/16 = 03F0 0000
MADI Output 17/18 = 03F1 0000
MADI Output 19/20 = 03F2 0000
MADI Output 21/22 = 03F3 0000
MADI Output 23/24 = 03F4 0000
MADI Output 25/26 = 03F5 0000
MADI Output 27/28 = 03F6 0000
MADI Output 29/30 = 03F7 0000
MADI Output 31/32 = 03F8 0000
MADI Output 33/34 = 03F9 0000
MADI Output 35/36 = 03FA 0000
MADI Output 37/38 = 03FB 0000
MADI Output 39/40 = 03FC 0000
MADI Output 41/42 = 03FD 0000
MADI Output 43/44 = 03FE 0000
MADI Output 45/46 = 03FF 0000
MADI Output 47/48 = 0400 0000
MADI Output 49/50 = 0401 0000
MADI Output 51/52 = 0402 0000
MADI Output 53/54 = 0403 0000
MADI Output 55/56 = 0404 0000
MADI Output 57/58 = 0405 0000
MADI Output 59/60 = 0406 0000
MADI Output 61/62 = 0407 0000
MADI Output 63/64 = 0408 0000
Personally I would have find it more logical if the MADI output had one number/address and the channels would be numbered like the AUX outputs. But BMD decided otherwise.
Input numberingThe inputs are numbered as follows:
- Code: Select all
Input 01 = 0001 xxxx
Input 02 = 0002 xxxx
Input 03 = 0003 xxxx
Input 04 = 0004 xxxx
Input 05 = 0005 xxxx
Input 06 = 0006 xxxx
Input 07 = 0007 xxxx
Input 08 = 0008 xxxx
Input 09 = 0009 xxxx
Input 10 = 000A xxxx
Input 11 = 000B xxxx
Input 12 = 000C xxxx
Input 13 = 000D xxxx
Input 14 = 000E xxxx
Input 15 = 000F xxxx
Input 16 = 0010 xxxx
Input 17 = 0011 xxxx
Input 18 = 0012 xxxx
Input 19 = 0013 xxxx
Input 20 = 0014 xxxx
Input 21 = 0015 xxxx
Input 22 = 0016 xxxx
Input 23 = 0017 xxxx
Input 24 = 0018 xxxx
Input 25 = 0019 xxxx
Input 26 = 001A xxxx
Input 27 = 001B xxxx
Input 28 = 001C xxxx
Input 29 = 001D xxxx
Input 30 = 001E xxxx
Input 31 = 001F xxxx
Input 32 = 0020 xxxx
Input 33 = 0021 xxxx
Input 34 = 0022 xxxx
Input 35 = 0023 xxxx
Input 36 = 0024 xxxx
Input 37 = 0025 xxxx
Input 38 = 0026 xxxx
Input 39 = 0027 xxxx
Input 40 = 0028 xxxx
Just like the AUX outputs, all the inputs also support 16 audio channels which are mapped as 8 dual channels. By replacing
xxxx in the above list you address the specific audio channels of an input:
- Code: Select all
0000 = Audio Channels 01/02
0001 = Audio Channels 03/04
0002 = Audio Channels 05/06
0003 = Audio Channels 07/08
0004 = Audio Channels 09/10
0005 = Audio Channels 11/12
0006 = Audio Channels 13/14
0007 = Audio Channels 15/16
The MADI inputs are similar to the MADI outputs but just a different numbers/addresses:
- Code: Select all
MADI Input 01/02 = 05DD 0000
MADI Input 03/04 = 05DE 0000
MADI Input 05/06 = 05DF 0000
MADI Input 07/08 = 05E0 0000
MADI Input 09/10 = 05E1 0000
MADI Input 11/12 = 05E2 0000
MADI Input 13/14 = 05E3 0000
MADI Input 15/16 = 05E4 0000
MADI Input 17/18 = 05E5 0000
MADI Input 19/20 = 05E6 0000
MADI Input 21/22 = 05E7 0000
MADI Input 23/24 = 05E8 0000
MADI Input 25/26 = 05E9 0000
MADI Input 27/28 = 05EA 0000
MADI Input 29/30 = 05EB 0000
MADI Input 31/32 = 05EC 0000
MADI Input 33/34 = 05ED 0000
MADI Input 35/36 = 05EE 0000
MADI Input 37/38 = 05EF 0000
MADI Input 39/40 = 05F0 0000
MADI Input 41/42 = 05F1 0000
MADI Input 43/44 = 05F2 0000
MADI Input 45/46 = 05F3 0000
MADI Input 47/48 = 05F4 0000
MADI Input 49/50 = 05F5 0000
MADI Input 51/52 = 05F6 0000
MADI Input 53/54 = 05F7 0000
MADI Input 55/56 = 05F8 0000
MADI Input 57/58 = 05F9 0000
MADI Input 59/60 = 05FA 0000
MADI Input 61/62 = 05FB 0000
MADI Input 63/64 = 05FC 0000
Additional audio inputs (if supported on the device):
- Code: Select all

Mix Minus AUX 14 = 0AFE 0000
Mix Minus AUX 15 = 0AFF 0000
Mix Minus AUX 16 = 0B00 0000
Mix Minus AUX 17 = 0B01 0000
Mix Minus AUX 18 = 0B02 0000
Mix Minus AUX 19 = 0B03 0000
Mix Minus AUX 20 = 0B04 0000

Mix Minus AUX 22 = 0B06 0000
Mix Minus AUX 23 = 0B07 0000
Mix Minus AUX 24 = 0B08 0000
With the above info it should be fairly trivial to make a tool to easily map any inputs and any outputs.
