Have you tried plugging the HDMI output of the PPT laptop to a video/tv monitor that has a speaker to check that your laptop is actually outputting audio?
It's also useful to run ATEM control software so you can set levels and meter the incoming audio. The AFV (Audio follows video) button on the PPT channel needs to be active too.
