PPT Video Sound for Teams Calls

PostWed Jul 10, 2024 12:02 pm

Hello,

We are a company using the ATEM Mini Pro to run Webinars and Online Training sessions via MS Teams. The issue we have found is the sound on the videos embedded in the Powerpoint presentation does not play.

Set up is as follows: Camera connected to HDM1 1, host laptop (running the MS Teams webinar) to HDMI 2, and a second laptop running the PPT Presentation to HDMI 3. We use both the Mic inputs for the DJI wireless microphones.

What can we do to get the sound to play to guests logging into the call?

Have you tried plugging the HDMI output of the PPT laptop to a video/tv monitor that has a speaker to check that your laptop is actually outputting audio?

It's also useful to run ATEM control software so you can set levels and meter the incoming audio. The AFV (Audio follows video) button on the PPT channel needs to be active too.

Make sure audio is enabled on the according hdmi input on the atem as well.

I would also suggest to use a dedicated computer to do the Teams call which is just connected by usb.
