Camera control atem mini pro

PostSat Aug 10, 2024 7:32 pm

Hey,

I have a black magic pocket cinema 4k hooked up to an atem mini pro with a pearstone fiber optic HDMI cable
HDA-08

Everything is working great except the fact I can't control the camera. I can't color correct or change any setting, zoom, focus etc. (it's a compatible power zoom lens). It was my understanding that an e-arc compatible cable would allow the communication of the software control to the camera just fine.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello,

When I see the specifications of your cable, I can read : Directional Design : Each end of the cable is clearly marked so you’ll always know the direction of the signal from the source to your display or projector.

So I think that there is a kind of unidirectionnal communication in this cable, and remote control need bidirectionnal.

To be clear the cable must support CEC. Consumer Electronics Control for tally and camera control. Many cables do. Some do not. I hope this helps.
