Recommended USB-C Hub for MSC4K2G

PostThu Jan 25, 2024 3:05 pm

Hi everybody,

Yesterday, the camera* arrived. *Yay!* 8-)
I just tried the menu. *Yikes.*

*) BMD Micro Studio Camera 4K 2G

I'd like to order a USB-C hub, preferably with multiple USB-C ports for an external SSD, Zoom/Focus Demand, and Ethernet. Does anyone of you have experience with this? Is it possible to have all the devices connected at the same time (recording, Ethernet, and Zoom/Focus controlling)?

Recommendations for a USB-C hub are welcome.

Best regards,
Floh

@BlackMagicDesign: Please add Bluetooth-Dongle support so we can control the camera by using the smartphone-app.

Check this out. Alex found a USB-C hub that works:

Agreed on the Bluetooth dongle comment!

This is not a USB-C hub, but I am able to connect an ethernet adapter and a drive for recording.

Hi,

thank you for your posts. I've tried with a USB-C-Hub (uni USB C Ethernet Adapter 1000Mbps) and it seems working well with MSC4K2G.

Best regards
