Will Studio Converter work with Micro Cinema Camera G2?

PostFri Aug 23, 2024 4:53 pm

Hello,

I have just been looking into the Studio Converter that allows you to have a single cable workflow with the Studio Cameras over a cat-5 cable.

I was wondering if this system would also work with the Micro Studio 4k G2 cameras with a USB Ethernet adapter. Has anyone tested this? I can’t find much specific information.

Thank you!

No the Micro G2 has no VideoIP capabilities. But you can remote a lot of camera functions via a USB-C>Ethernet adapter. I have tested this last week with a Cyanview RCP.

Thanks for your response! I think I will just opt for running two SDI cables for this specific installation. Would be interesting if they could add VideoIP capabilities to this camera in the future, it would make it a great alternative to NDI.
