Teranex 2D doesn't provide all output formats

PostWed Oct 16, 2024 7:37 am

Hi all,

I recently purchased a used Teranex 2D. I'm sending a 1080P50 signal via SDI.
However when I try to select output formats, I'm only allowed
576i @ 50
720P @ 50
1080i @ 25 & 50
1080P @ 25 & 50

Why am I not able to select other frame rates like 24, 29.97/30 or 59.94/60?

Noob question here, but appreciate the help.

This is a limitation of the 2D. the 3D has more options.
I have just tried it with mine and I can't even get it to recognise 50p HD video either by SDI or HDMI, I just get the updating settings on the Teranex screen.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your response.
I guess I should've done my homework to research the compatible formats for the unit.
I only browsed the website and the chart only showed conversions for newer models.

Yeah the Teranex AV and Express can do it all.. And they quickly EOL the 2D and 3D after the AV and Express came to market. ;)
