HDMI Failures on ATEM Mini - how likely?

I have 3 HDMI ports fail on my ATEM Mini Extreme ISO over the last 12-18 months. 2 input ports and 1 output port.

What is everyone else's experience with these type of failures?

Just trying to get a feel for the best way forward.

yes .. HDMI is very bad connector .. This is reason , why we use allways SDI ..

HDMI wasn't really designed to have a high number of mating cycles. Best practice is to have a HDMI patch panel to then connect to your switcher. In fact, I have a patch panel on most of my gear regardless of connector type - so that the integrity of the on-equipment interface is maintained.

I do now have a 4 port patch panel that I use for the cameras. The other ports on the ATEM are basically permanent connections to equipment in the road case. It did take a while to sort this out though as ATEM Minis are not designed for rack mounting. I worked out a bracket finally and 3D printed it, and when the ATEM was permanently mounted a patch panel made sense.
