HyperDeck Studio HD Mini not starting up fully

I have a HyperDeck Studio HD Mini that won't complete it's startup cycle. The fan fires up, the screen comes on but only shows black and transport controls don't function. Connected via USB and updated firmware, no change. Opened up the case and found nothing out of place. Are there any magic key combinations during boot that would reset this thing or do I have a new piece of art for my shelf of dead components?

I sent it in to be repaired. here's what I got:

"Our inspection is complete:

After testing the unit it was discovered that the issue was
the main PCB and not the power module.
Unfortunately, we do not have replacement PCB for out of warranty units.

We apologize as we are not able to repair the unit."

So... I'm SOL.
