ASL/caption/audio description services and terminology

PostWed Dec 18, 2024 7:30 pm

I run video for a performing arts center. We have 7 "stages" ranging from 2500-100 person capacity. We do hundred of events each year of varying sizes and types. Our team would like to expand our accessibility offerings, and I am doing the preliminary discovery.

Can anyone recommend a single service that does, ASL, captioning/translations (audio and text capable) and audio description.

We have all the gear to send and receive audio and video feeds, we just need a service provider who can provide them as needed (low latency, clean audio/video feeds).

Also, I know nothing about the tech nomenclature for accessibility. I see some terms like 608/708, EEG HD492, etc.
Could someone direct me to a primer on incorporating these options. I would like appear as if I know what I am talking about. :D
