We are using a ATEM SDI Extreme Pro. For the past few month when we try to connect to Facebook sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn't.
I have tried two different identical ATEMs from two different Mac computers and several different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox). Following the same steps exactly, there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why sometimes I can connect to Facebook and sometime I can't. I did multiple tests, restarted hardware and computers. I would say the success rate is about 30%.
When we copy the stream key to the ATEM software and GO LIVE, most of the time, but not always, the "Connected to Video Source" indicator on the Facebook website will not go green and allow us to launch the livestream.
On the other hand, YouTube works flawlessly. That's why I don't doubt our hardware or internet access.
I've pretty much given up on Facebook and just moved our service over to YouTube. But that seems like a fairly silly solution.
Anyone have these problems??
