2110 3x3 bug or feature?

I heard several people are using a pair of 3x3 boxes to act as a DSM feed on corporate events. Seems like a great cable saver to reduce several SDI lines down to a single Cat 6 cable.

The only downside seems to be the box generally doing the receiving has to be rebooted to see the inputs from video world sometimes. Feature? Bug? or am I missing some general knowldge about the nature of IP Video?

Still learning this device - I found that it did take a few minutes to indicate connectivity to the other 3x3 unit - and that both units need configuration. The sender needs to be set to which input will be which path....and the receiver needs to be set which path will route to each output. Used a pair of them last week and once configured, they worked like a charm.
