Ultimatte - Best Color

PostMon Jan 13, 2025 8:16 pm

Hello everyone,

My question is very simple, unfortunately I haven't found an answer in the documentation: What is the best green for the Ultimatte to work best ?

I'd love any advice you can give me on this ! Thanks.

The best green is either Procyc Green, Rosco Greenscreen paint or Bristol FX (in UK)

It's expensive due to the purity of the green, and it generally does not change colour with wear (which cheap emulsions do)

This is a helpful question for me since I am just getting started. We use manfrotto chroma key scrims right now. Is there really a big difference between using ProCyc paint versus a manfrotto chroma key background? Wrinkles aside...
