Fiber optic SFPs mixing w/ talkback converter &

Can you mix the SFPs on the 4K talkback converter (providing they match with the converter on the other end?)

I'm thinking:
6x 12G SFPs
2x 3G SFPs

At the moment, most jobs are still 3G - but wondered if the unit would mix and match?

Also... I have 4x old Fiber-SDI & 3x 12G Fiber-SDI (with 3G SFPs) - if I have a 3G job and the talkback converter has 12G SFPs in it - can I have the micro converters with 3G SFPs on the other end.

As long as you send 3g signal 12g and 3g SFPs will communicate with each other.
