ATEM Mini Extreme ISO injecting computer noise into audio

PostSun May 11, 2025 8:15 pm

I was recently running an event with a USB feed to a PC running Zoom. Things had worked well for most of the day but when we restarted ISO recording after a break Zoom participants complained that the speaker's voice was drowned out by loud computer noise. As far as I could tell the audio going to the HDMI for our multiview as fine.

We later found that the same noise was on the embedded audio in video recordings on our SSD. However, the noise was not present on the audio source file (Mic1) which, after adjusting for the level having been rather low, was fine.

It appears that the noise was being generated within the ATEM when encoding the video for recording and USB output. Has anyone else seen this or something like it?

I have prepared a short video with clips of Zoom's recording of the event, our ISO video file, and the Mic1 audio file. However it is too big to post here. Is it appropriate to post a YouTube link to it?
