Webpresenter USBC Webcam output freezes and glitches

Hi all,

Looking for some help here.

I have a webpresenter used as a webcam into zoom running on a Mac mini M1. From time to time the bottom half of the video signal will glitch or the entire frame will freeze. Audio goes on without any problems.
HDMI video monitor doesn't display any of the glitches.

Video is produced on another computer running Mimolive with the program output from a Decklink Duo 2 into the webpresenter. I am not streaming out to any CDN from the web presenter.

The only way to resolve this was to power cycle the unit or leave it for a few minutes and it'll correct itself.

What could the issue potentially be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have the same Problem with my Webpresenters HD (not with the 4k and 720).
When i use Microsoft Teams the complete Video from Webpresenter disappears and Audio only is working.
On the Webpresenter Preview Screen connected via HDMI i dont see any issue.

The Problem comes from the Slides you present. When you switch to an other Slide or Video the problem is gone.

I was in contact with Blackmagic Support (September 22) and send them my Test slides so they can check it on their systems.
They told me they have the Same Issue and will send it to the Software Developers to fix it.

Our developers are still investigating this behaviour. If an update does come it will be available on our support page linked below.

I can not comment on time scales of any possible resolution.

Cant believe I finally meet someone who had the same issue and figured it out!

I do have some more info to share on it as I suffered this issue (and in worse stages) as well.

Apparently the webcam outputs are not happy when I switch to a powerpoint presentation input with my companys title slide on it.

This happened to me on the webcam outputs of : (Workflow X Webcam output)

ATEM Mini Extreme -> Webcam output

ATEM Mini Extreme -> HDMI to SDI converter -> SDI Videosmarthub -> SDI Webpresenter HD -> webcam output

2 M/E Constellation HD -> webcam output
2 M/E Constellation HD -> SDI Videohub -> SDI Webpresenter HD -> Webpresenter HD

I have two 4k Webpresenters in London which I have yet to test on this issue so I'll do that during my next event. So far no issues as the other side of my business has different slides.

Funfact : This problem did NOT happen when I took the SDI input from one of my 2 webpresenter HDs and converted it to HDMI into a ATEM Mini Pro I had around. I was able to use it just fine. This saved me once because and bare with me because now I'm getting to the "worse stages" part.

This happened to me to the extend where I had talent in the studio but I already joined a Webinar 1 hour ago not exactly knowing what the issue was. (Spoke to several people that use BM in the industry and they always(!) thought I was crazy).

In the last 15 Minutes we did the soundchecks, everything looked great on the multiviews and the devices integrated displayes. Super confident.
But I was using the presentation slide as holding slide for the past 30 minutes.

Webex & Teams stated that they "lost connection" to the camera output but sound was continously going through just fine.
Tried to switch sources to the BMPCCs, nothing would wake the Webpresenters on the Webinar side up until I fully restarted my in-use videoswitch. Happened both on the constellation & the ATEM Mini Extreme for me.

In the short term - now that I realized what the problem is and funnily enough someone else finally confirmed my suspicion - I know that you can get around it by switching the slide every now and then within a limited time window. But again, it can be worse to the point where it will not turn on again, at all.
