Control Surface - ATEM Constellation 4ME HD

HI, I have an older ATEM 1ME control surface. Probably 10-13 years old. I use it with a 1 M/E ATEM Broadcast switcher (1U version that replaced the old 2U flat pancake style). I want to replace the current switcher with an ATEM Constellation 4ME HD (NOT 4k) and want to verify that I can use the older control surface to control it. I understand there aren't enough buttons on the surface to control everything the 4ME will do but I'm hoping that I can assign the ME it will use and the 20 (10 plus shift = 20) buttons to the inputs I want and do everything else with macros. Am I on the right track or do I need one of the newer control surfaces to make it work. I know about StreamDeck and Companion and use it control the router etc but would like to use the more traditional "program / preview bus" surface. I also know it can be operated from a computer but thats slow(er) than the buttons (we do Baseball) for fast moving events. Plus it would mean another computer, monitor, keyboard all of which I don't have space or $ for. Thanks.

Your panel will work with the Constellation fine. You can remap any of your sources to the 20 button positions. I hope this helps.
