ATEM MINI Extreme ISO - "RESTORE" NO LONGER RESTORING

PostMon Jun 28, 2021 12:34 am

Hi Folks,

I was just creating some macros for my Atem Mini Extreme ISO by editing a saved Atem XML file.

Editing the XML (Macro index="0" etc etc) -> Restore it to the Atem -> Test the macro -> Go back to the XML -> Edit -> and on and on.

Everything was going fine, until I could not restore the XML file anymore. Even if I try to use and older XLM, or try to restore just the Macros, the Atem Software Control doesn't restore *anything* anymore.

Does it have a 'Restore Limit'? Like: 'Mr. ATEM owner, you reached the maximum number of Restores of your ATEM Software Control's File/Restore function." ;-)

Also, I couldn't find a FACTORY RESET function to try to bring the Atem back to a full reset state. I tried the 'Clear Startup State', but it seems to do nothing either. Maybe the two problems are correlated.

Any help would be very welcomed.

Thanks!
Wagner

Hello,
To factory reset your ATEM MINI Extreme ISO (I did it last week), remove the power, press and maintain the upper left button (ON MIC 1), put the power, and wait until the upper left button is blinking.
Connect your computer using USB, launch ATEM Setup, which will detect an "unknown switcher".
In ATEM Setup, Click on the left button to launch the Software upgrade, and after a while, you have a factory reset device.
Regards,

While this is great information, it does not appear to be a true full factory reset. After doing this, yes, I must install the firmware, but the previous settings and stills are still present.

Were you able to figure out how to truly clear/reset all persisted information from the ATEM?

Regardless, thank you for sharing at least the closest thing I've seen so far for factory reset.

I have tried to reset the ATEM but I have no luck and the biggest problem is that the last time it was used we had to use a different iP and now I don't remember which is the iP and I can't connect to the switcher, someone knows how I can reset the iP to factory ...?

Has anyone figured out the rest issue.
When I connected the Extteme ISO by USB C to my computer and open the Setup program. I get NO ATEM found. My connection is good.
What IP address should I enter? My computer, router, I dont know how to find the ATEM iP Address.

I had the same issue but looks like there may be different reasons people are experiencing this same problem. I found that I couldn't overwrite existing macros, i had to delete the current macros and only then import (restore) my externally edited xml macros. Hope this helps someone!
