Flickering video in zoom feed

PostWed Oct 20, 2021 4:04 pm

My Zoom feed is flickering, sometimes barely, sometimes horribly.

Setup:
*USB-C to USB cable from ATEM to Lenovo Win10 (I have tried different cables and different USB ports)

*This set up worked fine with ATEM Mini Pro, but this issue arrived when I hooked up a new ATEM mini (not pro).

*Sending the signal to a desktop resolves the issue but I REALLY want to be able to use the laptop in my studio for live (paid) presentations.

Here's the video (my feed is top right, which I think will be painfully obvious, but you never know):

Let me know if you have any ideas or questions and thanks for your help!

For anyone who comes across this post, I contacted customer service and they had me roll back the ATEM software to 8.1 on my laptop. That took care of the flicker but now I get the dreaded "no device connected" message in the ATEM control software. This is with ethernet and USB cables plugged in.

Now, that's where the chroma key settings are, so this is a big issue for me. I plug the ATEM into my desktop, which is still running ATEM software 8.6 and I can restore the setting and make adjustments. When it's time to go live, I have to unplug from the desktop and go back into the desktop, which limits me exclusively to the controls on the actual unit.

I'll be contacting customer service tomorrow and will try to update whatever solution I am given.

This is a bit of a hacky workaround, but you could try capturing the video from the ATEM in OBS instead, and using the OBS virtual webcam feature if it looks good there.

Lucas,

If you downgrade your ATEM hardware the software should see it. Run the installer for the version you need with the ATEM connected directly via USB.
