Hardware Scaling Latency Decklink 4K Extreme 12G

PostWed Oct 27, 2021 5:50 pm

Hi everyone.

Does anybody have any information about the latency of the UHD to HD output conversion on the Decklink 4K Extreme 12G? I would primarily be using it to capture UHD from game consoles, while outputting to a 1080p monitor to play off of. Currently the passthrough on my Decklink HD Extreme 3D+ doesn't have any noticeable latency, but I'm wondering if doing the down convert on the newer card would add significant delay.

Manual says the output scaler is up to 2 frames of delay.
