Zoom demand motor

PostMon Jan 10, 2022 9:40 pm

Hello board, happy new year!

We purchased 6 Studio Pro's last year with focus and zoom demands. For the cameras I am using all Olympus glas, 7-14, 12-100, 40-150 and 100-400. In my opinion the Olympus M.Zuiko lenses are the best you can get for M43, but of course they are lacking the zoom motor. As of now we are using two Nucleus M, but I was wondering if there might be any way to use the zoom demand with the Nukleus M. I know that it is completely different gear, but maybe someone can come up with a magic adapter. Also, I think it would fix a lot of problems if BM develops their own high torque zoom motor, which would turn a whole range of good lenses in to broadcast lenses. I would buy 6 in a heartbeat. Anyway, beside that we are very happy with the cameras. The Studio Converters are working great too.

+1 in " if BM develops their own high torque zoom motor"
and a focus servo motor to use in lower end lens.

So what would be the benefit over the Nucleus M ? Since you want a Zoom demand for it.. So bascially then you would buy a Zoom Motor and a Zoom demand from BMD.. What is the difference with the Nucleus which is basically kind of the same.. A motor + controller...
