Apple m1 GPU equivalent

What would the gpu equivalent be in an Nvidia card?

Note sure what you mean, but the Apple M1 processor has a GPU built in. Software that uses the macOS Metal API will automatically make use of it. For video encoding software must use the Videotoolbox API to benefit from hardware encoding for example. In my experience so far the M1 GPU is not really good in video encoding. The quality is not really good and it's not really fast. The M1 Pro and M1 Max have hardware encoding support for ProRes which is really, really, really fast! (and good quality)

I want to know if the M1 gpu capabilities are equivalent to a 1650 or a 2070....

Depends what you're doing.

It's broadly in line with a GTX1650 at circa 2.7TF.

But the architecture of the M1 has many advantages so can often punch well above its weight.
