BlackMagic WebPresenter 4K MAC Address

PostFri Aug 05, 2022 2:53 pm

Hello, I work for a University, and our ethernet system is secured via MAC address. (In short, we have to register the MAC address of a unit before it will connect to the internet). I need to be able to find the MAC address of my Web Presenter 4K, but I haven't been able to locate where that is, and I don't see any other posts about it or information. Anything you can tell me is greatly appreciated!

Never mind, after some deep searches, I discovered the answer. If anyone else needs to know, on OSX in terminal, type arp and then the IP address of the Webpresenter. That will give you the MAC address of your unit.

wilmac,

I'm using a Mac Pro, OS 11.7.1. In System Preferences, the ethernet port the Web Presenter is connected to gives me an IP address, but when I use it in Terminal, the arp command returns "no entry".

How is your Web Presenter connected to your computer when you run the command?

Thanks,

Robert
